The horses are not treated like a number, but rather got to know as individuals, and treated and loved as such. Cindy and her team are always vigilant regarding the welfare of the horses in their care and the attention to detail is first class. It's a very special place and we are lucky to have our horse Fergie there.

Downgate is a fun, kind, happy 5* Livery yard. The professional, safe approach to horse and rider is exemplary and I trust the team implicitly with all aspects of Silver's management and care. Everything is carried out gently and calmly. The horses are loved and secure and this is reflected in how they behave. Communication is excellent, so I never worry.

Cindy and her team find the perfect blend of a warm and welcoming, supportive and stress-free atmosphere, underpinned by professional standards of care. The attention to the horses' well-being is first class and tailored to the needs of the individual.

The facilities are excellent as you'd expect from a 5* yard and I particularly enjoy the endless miles of hacking through the forest and around quiet country lanes. We're a stone's throw from numerous show centres, cross-country courses and amazing hacking on the Downs and the beach too.

Most importantly for me, however, is the reassurance of knowing that my boys are in the best possible hands when I can't always be around.

I've had my horse 'Ollie' on Livery with Cindy for over 12 years and really value the excellent attention that he receives. He's an older fella now and it's so reassuring to know that he's looked after by such a professional, knowledgeable team on the yard that has all the amenities needed to help keep him healthy and happy.

It's an adult orientated yard which I particularly like and with Cindy and Tim living on site I know there's always someone keeping an eye on him.

We have a WhatsApp group for us that we use to keep in touch with what's going on and to arrange hacks etc.

I started training with Cindy in 2021, having moved my new horse to Downgate. Cindy has been invaluable in helping our partnership develop and improve Luna’s way of going and my effectiveness in the saddle.

Through Cindy, I have been incredibly lucky to have been able to have the opportunity to have an eventing schoolmaster on loan. Cindys coaching has allowed me and Scooby to complete our 1st BE events together. Having Cindy on hand to help at shows and training days is added support that allows guidance all the way through to show days to enable the best performance.

Cindy is a fountain of knowledge which has allowed us to find the best way to ride my two different horses, this is achieved through Cindys adaptable training and looking at the whole picture. Being able to have regular training is I think vital to improving my riding and keep progressing. Previously I have had different coaches for different disciplines however having one coach who knows both me and my horses so well is invaluable.

The yard at Downgate has been amazing at caring for the horses, the staff are brilliant very thorough which has allowed me to be able to focus on my studies without having to worry about their care.

I would recommend Cindys coaching very very highly and also the 5* care at Downgate too!
